The 40th HKIFF presents the Premiere of Nessun Dorma Janice MAN's most daring performance ever

22 March 2016 (Hong Kong) – Nessun Dorma makes its premiere at Hong Kong Cultural Centre tonight, with star - studded casts Mr. LAM Ka-tung, Ms. Janice MAN, Mr. Andy HUI Chi-on, Mr. Paco WONG, Ms. Candice YU On-on, Mr. Wilfred LAU Ho-lung, Ms. LEE Man, Ms. Tarah CHAN, Mr. Phat CHAN, Mr. Ken LAW Ho-ming and Ms. Pancy CHAN Pui-sze and etc.  After the success of last year’s Sara, Herman is managed to make another complex psychological local thriller about true love and the choices of life.

Ms. Janice MAN, who gained extensive popularity after Helios, said “I am always looking for ways to make a breakthrough.  I would love to play variety of different roles on screen and so far Nessun Dorma will be my most daring performance.  I would like to thank the director for his trust.”

The film is about a beautiful yet naive TSANG (Ms. Janice MAN) having second thoughts about her arranged marriage with the most eligible bachelor in town (Mr. LAM Ka-tung) because she is secretly in love with the dog-loving math prodigy FONG (Mr. Andy HUI).  One night, she is attacked on her way home.  She wakes up and finds herself trapped in a room and tied to a bed naked.  She was raped but managed to escape, and this leads to murderous outcomes.
